May WorkAdvance Cohort Completes Tooling-U Manufacturing Training

We’re thrilled to celebrate our May 2025 WorkAdvance manufacturing training cohort, a small but mighty group of five who brought energy, perseverance, and a passion for growth to every day of training. This cohort marks a significant first in our program’s history: every single participant completed all 27 Tooling-U modules, going above and beyond the 13 required for graduation.

This achievement meant all five participants were eligible to sit for the Certified Manufacturing Associate exam, a nationally recognized credential that signals job readiness in the manufacturing industry. Even more exciting, three of the five have already passed the exam, and one more is preparing to try again, determined to succeed.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

This cohort stood out for their incredible engagement and mutual support. From hands-on simulations and interactive activities to in-depth discussions about workplace processes and protocols, their enthusiasm for learning and collaboration was evident. Instructors noted how this group embraced every moment, turning the classroom into a truly dynamic and encouraging environment.

One individual had previously signed up for an earlier training session but realized the timing wasn’t right. This time, they returned and graduated. A couple of participants were navigating recovery and took this step as part of building a stable future. One said they felt emotional, like they had changed into a butterfly, a powerful metaphor for personal transformation and newfound confidence.

Another participant, who had been through similar programs in the past, shared how this experience stood out. The instructors were not only knowledgeable but also deeply personable, encouraging, and invested in each trainee’s success.

This is the heart of WorkAdvance. We provide more than just skills. We provide support, belief, and opportunity.
